Aims of the Course

The course is a visual / kinaesthetic approach that puts in control of your dyslexia.
Dyslexic people are visual, multi-dimensional picture thinkers, and tend to have strong imagination and spatial reasoning. They are often intuitive, highly creative and excel at hands-on learning. However, their natural ‘3D’ thinking style can cause difficulties when reading and writing with ‘2D’ letters, numbers and symbols.
The aims of the course are:
To empower children and adults with reading, writing, language, and maths skills.
To enable you to recognise and control the mental processes that cause distorted perceptions of letters and words.
To enable you to readily focus attention.
To understand your personal thinking and perceptual processes, learn self-help methods for controlling perception, as well as skills for eliminating confusions with language and number skills.
To increase self-confidence and literacy skills.
To gain a successful method of learning that can be used throughout life.
Professional services described as Davis®, Davis Dyslexia Correction®, Davis Symbol Mastery®, Davis Orientation Counseling®, and Davis Math Mastery® may only be provided by persons who are employed by a licensed Davis Specialist, or who are trained and licensed as Davis Facilitators by Davis Dyslexia Association International.
